BIRDWORKS is a venture with that produces specialty birdseed products. In partnership with ProAct Life Opportunities, Birdworks offers lifelong learning opportunities to adults with special needs, who work along with community volunteers to create beautiful and tasty treats for our feathered friends.
Birdworks’ three-part mission includes creating an environment that accommodates all ability levels in facilitating lifelong learning; developing relationships between workers and community volunteers; and producing high quality, unique seasonal birdseed items. These items include wreaths, ornaments, and small bags of seed that are sold locally from shops, craft events, and at farmers markets. All profits go directly back to program participants.
