Have you ever thought about how much money it takes to build a cooperative grocery store – or any grocery store for that matter? The land, the building, the shelving, the check-out lanes, the freezers, the refrigerators, the cooking equipment, the stock, the staff…you can see it all adds up fast! Building our co-op will likely cost millions. Some funding will come from bank loans and grants, but we’ll raise more than half of the funds from our owners and community members like YOU!
