Member & Ownership

Do I have to be a member/owner to shop at Hudson Grocery Co-op?

  • No! Everyone is able to shop at HGC. members/owners have access to more sales and deals.

What are the benefits of being a member/owner?

Benefits of Ownership:

  • You are supporting a grocery business that supports local farmers and independent food producers.
  • You help maintain the vitality of the Hudson community by supporting a practical location for residents, workers, and visitors to purchase grocery staples.
  • Each ownership receives a voice in the co-op’s decisions.
  • Co-op owners have the opportunity to run for election to the Board of Directors, and to sit on volunteer committees.
  • You will be eligible for owner specials, such as discount days.
  • Ownership allows you to participate in future co-op patronage dividend program.

Ownership is a one-time purchase of stock in the business.

How much does it cost to become an owner?

  • To become an owner of Hudson Grocery Co-op it is a one time stock purchase of $80 .

How do I become an owner?

Online Ordering

Do you offer online ordering or curbside pickup?

  • Yes! Hudson Grocery Co-op now offers online ordering. We also offer curbside pickup for orders placed online.

How long has HGC offered online ordering?

  • Great question! We just started offering online orders on November 4th, 2025!

Where do I pick up my online order?

  • We have two designated parking spots for online order pick up. You can either park your car and come into the store to pick up your order, or you can park and call the number on the sign and your grocery order will be brought out to you.

How can I apply my member and ownership deals to my online order.

  • All you have to do to apply the member/owners deals to your order is log in! Make sure you use the email address that is attached to your ownership to log in.

How do I log in as a member/owner?

  • Click on the 'person' icon in the top right corner. Log in with the email that is connected to your owner number. Once you have done this, you will have access to all member deals.

I am an existing member, why am I not receiving the member deals online?

  • You may not be logged in with the correct email. Make sure you are logged in with the same email that you used to register as a member/owner. If you are using a different email the website will not recognize you as a member.

How do I know what Email is connected to my ownership?

  • If you are unsure which email you should use to log in, you can contact Hudson Grocery Co-op customer service. You can do so by coming into the store, calling the store, or sending an email to customerservice@hudsongrocery.coop

I just became a member, why am I not able to get member deals right away when online shopping?

  • There is a delay time of a few days before your membership is fully registered with the online shopping feature. If is has been more than a week or two, please contact us here.
